What Good Is a Business Coach Anyway!

You know the drill: You pour long hours and buckets of sweat into your business. You tell yourself that next year, you’ll take a vacation, and when next year finally comes and you’re sipping wine in Paris, you call the office “just to check in.” You manage your bookkeeping, marketing, and administration just so you can spend a few hours a day doing what you love. Your business is moderately successful, but you’re still not where you want to be, and you don’t know how to go from being a passionate entrepreneur to a profitable one.

It takes a lot of hard work and long years to get your business started. But eventually, the growing pains need to stop so you can reap the rewards of your efforts. And you need more than passion to do it.

There comes a time when we all have to learn to work smarter, not harder. We must shed some of the many hats we wear and delegate tasks so we can focus on building our businesses. We must become better planners, with more effective processes. We must focus our energy on our talents and surround ourselves with those whose strengths are complementary. We must find others who can support the growth of our businesses while doing what they love. We must find prospects and clients while keeping abreast of industry trends so we can maintain our competitive edge.

But we need profits to make this possible.

Business coaches, with their broad experience, help shorten the learning curve for entrepreneurs. This means less trial and error and more results. It means fewer sleepless nights worrying about the business and more days filled with accomplishment and healthy cash flow. It means being able to pay your bills and save for your children’s education and your retirement. And it means taking days off—days when you don’t take work with you, and you don’t feel guilty about it.

In other words, it means freedom.

A business coach will come to your quarterly planning meetings and your Christmas celebrations, will meet privately with you when you need a trusted ear and a word of encouragement, and will help you achieve your goals. Quicker. More profitably. And with greater confidence.
